Mountain Pose
Learn how to properly and efficiently do Mountain Pose, the foundation of most yoga practices. Also known as Tadasana in Sanskrit, Mountain Pose helps strengthen the legs and glutes by keeping them on and active.
Back Bends
Learn how to properly and efficiently do a back bend to avoid lower back pain.
Downward Facing Dog
Learn how to properly and efficiently do Downward Facing Dog Pose, one of the best known poses in yoga practices today. Also known as Adho Mukha Shvanasana in Sanskrit, Downward Facing Dog in an inversion asana often practiced during a Sun Salutation. Downdog stretches the hamstrings, calves, shoulders, and the arches of the foot.
Spine Twists
Learn how to properly twist in yoga poses without hurting your back. Many poses require twists including Revolved Triangle Pose, Half Lord of the Fishes Pose, and Marichi's Pose. It's easy as a beginner to start twisting with a rounded back, which is something you never want to do.
